Report- Seminar on “Breaking Away From Gender Role Expectation”

The Training & Placement cell of IISU, on 9th August 2017, organized a seminar on women empowerment “Breaking Away From Gender Role Expectation”. The seminar was organized for the students from all the faculties of IIS University. The renowned women speakers for the session were –

1. Ms. Sheenu Jhanwar – M.D Apex Group of Hospitals
2. Ms. Rangoli – Correspondent, DNA
3. Ms. Nidhi Mehta – Director, Needybee
4. Ms. Alka Batra – Director, Aegis

The moderator of the panel discussion was Mr. Paresh Gupta, CEO, Headstart.

The session started with the life journey sharing and experiences sharing by the speakers of the session. The speakers talked about the struggles they faced and how they paved their way to success to make their name and reach to a renowned position.

At the end of the session, the house was made open for Q&A round, where the students asked a lot of questions from the speakers. The seminar concluded by a formal vote of thanks offered by IISU Placement Officer, Ms. Shivi Saxena.

The seminar was well appreciated by the students.
