Career in Aviation Industry

A guest lecture was organized by the Training & Placement Cell of IISU for all the students of IISU on 04 September 2018. The topic of the guest lecture was “Career in Aviation Industry”.

The speaker for the session was Capt. Dharamraj Shukla, Pilot and Founder of Speed Jet Aviation Academy, Mumbai. Speed Jet Aviation is the First International Training Academy of India.

The session began with the welcome note by the Placement Officer Dr. Shivi Saxena. She introduced the students to the topic of the guest lecture.

Capt. Shukla briefed the students about the emerging aviation sector in India. He explained them about the various domains in which the students can apply and make their successful career, like cabin crew, pilot, airport staff etc. The myth that air hostesses should be unmarried and girls with certain body proportions can get a job in aviation sector, were cleared.

Capt. Shukla also made the students aware about the eligibility criteria and requirements for becoming a pilot. He said that women pilot are always recommended and have a brilliant career in flying as most of the aviation companies prefer hiring women pilots due to the responsible and dedicated approach of females towards their job. He informed that a student having a Maths background in Class 12 is eligible for applying to pilot training programme. In the last, the queries of students were addressed.

The session was well appreciated by the students and they also demanded for more such sessions. The session ended with the Thank You note by the Placement Officer.

The seminar was attended by around 100 students from all the courses.
